2005 - Library Wines

Vintage Notes

The first commercial vintage under the Nagy Squared label, this growing season was less dramatic than 2004. Rainfall in winter and early spring increased the water table significantly. No scorching hot days to attend with during harvest, this year seemed moderate and manageable. The fruit was pretty, with large berries and a larger juice to skin ratio. Enjoy the first fruits of our labor!

  • 2005 Pinot Noir

    Santa Rita Hills

    Tasting Notes

This wine has notes of wet earth, with hints of floral and strawberries (come on Pinot lovers!). The palate holds its subtle nuances closely and will continue to open up to reveal even more intense characteristics of bright fruit. It is currently showing bing cherries with a smoky, toasty finish. (Shirley Temple has nothing on this wine!)
